The 2010 SFIWC registration form is here (as both a .doc and .pdf file). The registration fee is $170 ($90 for students and retired members). Extra banquet tickets are $35. Banquet tickets for kids 5-12 are only $15, and kids 4 and under eat free! Please be aware that an additional $8.00 fee applies to all Canadian and other non-U.S. checks.
This year's banquet will be a buffet with your choice of chicken pomodoro (herb & parmesan crusted chicken breast roasted and topped with a crushed garlic and tomato pomodoro sauce) or drunken beef (fire roasted beef tenderloin tips smothered in a tangy Jack Daniels bourbon glaze); fresh rolls; garden or pasta salad; dessert; and coffee, iced tea, or beer. Vegetarian plates also are available; please be sure to mark your preference on the registration form.
The Tuesday night mixer will be held at the Le Catalan French Cafe and Wine Bar/Shop on the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington (just a short distance from the meeting hotel). For more information, please go to www.lecatalan.com.
We would like to have a reasonably accurate head count in advance for food preparation, so I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE everyone to send in their registration forms and fees to me as early as possible. Pre-registration will be accepted until July 5.
Remember to reserve your room at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside no later than May 19. It is very important that everyone planning to attend this year's meeting reserve their room(s) before this deadline, so that we meet our room occupancy obligation with the hotel. Please contact Kier Klepzig (kklepzig@fs.fed.us) or Fred Stephen (fstephen@uark.edu) if you have any questions.Call for Graduate Student Session presentations: The Graduate Student Session will be on Wednesday, July 21 from 2:30-5:15 PM. Presentations will be allotted 12 minute slots with an additional 3 minutes for questions. Titles, authors, and affiliations along with any questions should be sent to Laurel Haavik (lhaavik@uark.edu) or Jamie Dinkins (jdink123@gmail.com) by June 25.
Poster Session: The Poster Session will be held on Thursday, July 22 from 4:30-6:00 PM. Please contact Josh Jones (jsj14@uark.edu) or Ace Lynn-Miller (alynnmil@uark.edu) for poster submissions and any questions. Poster submissions should be 4' by 4', and materials to hang posters will be provided for you. Poster set up will be Tuesday, July 20 from 3:00-5:00 PM. Space is limited.
Photo Salon: The Photo Salon will be held in conjunction with the Poster Session on Thursday, July 22nd from 4:30-6:00. Please contact Laurie Reid (lreid@forestry.state.sc.us) with pictures that you would like to submit or any questions. More Information
